Weather: Sunny but challenging conditions

A bright September sun welcomed the Weston AA anglers to Ivy House Lakes for their away day match. While the weather was pleasant, the fishing proved tricky, with many having to work hard for bites throughout the day.
Despite the tough conditions, Shawn K put in a masterclass from peg 1, using pole tactics to land a superb 130lb 13oz, securing 1st place overall. His consistent feeding and control on the pole proved decisive.
Marcus G took 2nd place and also won his section with a strong 110lb 9oz from peg 10, using the method feeder to great effect. Mark B was the other section winner, weighing in 100lb 2oz from peg 5, also on the method feeder.
In the Silvers Section, it was Ron S who came out on top with a tidy 21lb from peg 18, showing great finesse in targeting quality silverfish.

A big well done to all who fished – especially those who adapted to the conditions and found ways to keep the fish coming. Ivy House Lakes once again delivered a competitive and enjoyable match.
